Reborn, complex, outstanding.
The return of Clos Jordanne is a welcome one. Having halted production in 2016 (after nearly a decade), Arterra (formerly Constellation) has relaunched the project with original winemaker, Thomas Bachelder.
The estate's ultra-premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay program (with Burgundian vines and methods) was heralded as the best of the region, from an equally outstanding site on NIagara's Jordan Bench.
In November the wines returned and this particular wine is outstanding.
Honeysuckle and yellow fruits, candied melon and acacia, tangerine and oak spice aromas lead to a complex but pristine palate. Dulcet fruit with hints of butterscotch, it is plush and spicy creamy and tangy. A delicious wine with a mouthwatering finish.
